Kal Kapone
Kalani Rodriguez is a Canadian / Mexican DJ and Model with over 12+ years in the music industry. His music style ranges from 70’s disco and funk, through the 80’s and 90’s top hits, the rise of hip-hop in the 00’s and tons of remixes and original mixes of popular songs from the past 20 or so years.
Kal Capone a.k.a. Kalani, is well known in Vancouver for his contributions to countless events in the city’s emerging music scene — having taken part in event production, design coordination, promotion and consulting. Before working alongside Airwaves, Kalani has worked throughout the spectrum of live events, such as music festivals, nightclubs, radio live streams, after parties, art galleries and fashion shows. More recently he has booked many gigs independently and through Airwaves for weddings, sporting events, corporate parties and private parties of all sorts.
To his benefit, having grown up alongside the rise of technology within the DJ industry, Kalani has played on a wide variety of gear and sound equipment like Vinyl Turntables, CDJ’s and Portable DJ Controllers. He owns all his audio gear and knows how to effectively use it to optimize his bookings to the highest standard any client should AND would expect.
