DJ Chris has been wowing audiences both in-front of, and behind the spotlight his entire life. His love of music, performance, and theatre has taken him to stages across the globe, including Australia, Mexico, Ukraine, and the United States. Whether performing as a Ukrainian dancer, a musician, or as an actor, or working behind the scenes as a Stage Manager or Backstage Tech, entertainment is in his soul!
Graduating in 2013 from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors in Arts, Sound Design, and Tech Theatre/Management,
his professional DJ career was launched when he joined the Alberta-based Revolution Entertainment, later taking over as shop manager. Chris co-founded the company Safezone Entertainment in 2016, which spearheaded the Neon Lights DJ programs at the Flying Squirrel Trampoline Parks across Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec through the end of 2018. Specializing in weddings, Chris is an Open-Genre master, skillfully mixing every and any genre of music from Top-40 to Hip Hop, to Polkas, Bollywood, and beyond, and delights in individually tailoring the perfect blend of beats for his clients and couples. He has over 400 weddings and events under his belt, ranging from mountaintop ceremonies, multi-day conferences, sporting events, Bar Mitzvahs, Malankas, parades, and any amalgamation therein.
While the DJ Booth is where he shines, Chris’s (not-so) hidden talents lie with over a decade of backstage event management experience, where even the most complicated events and timelines are coordinated and executed to perfection. He is a sought-after DJ in the lower-mainland by Event Planners and Project-Leads alike for his theatrical organization, MC work, and creative versatility, and his positive energy and outgoing personality make him a reliable standard for any event.
