A Little About DJ Chris
Chris Perry has been a DJ for the past 25 years, working his way through his education degree by DJing across Vancouver Island. Having moved to the Okanagan in 2003, Chris started his own DJ company before joining the team at Airwaves in 2020. Chris has over 250 weddings and events of experience, and loves the performance aspect of being a DJ for your event.
Chris is also a musician and educator, entering his 21st year as a teacher. As a saxophonist and percussionist, Chris has performed with Colin James, Chris Hadfield, and multiple orchestras across the province, and has been the conductor and musical director for several community groups.
Chris’ experience in multiple genres of music and performance makes him an expert at finding the right music for any moment at your event. Finding the perfect music to match your trivia game, suggesting music when you’re struggling to find the right song for your recessional, and finding the perfect songs that you hadn’t even thought of to play next and have your guest hopping onto the dance floor, Chris will add energy and excitement to any event.

He was so great to work with leading into the event, with editing our first dance song and providing great music suggestions. He also connected with out cinematographer and us before the ceremony started to ensure the ceremony went smoothly, and lastly for keeping the dance floor bumping all night long!

Chris DJ’d at my wedding and could not have done a better job! He was amazing at reading the crowd and making sure he played something for everyone. He was extremely engaging the entire time. He had a great sense of humour and played specific songs after jokes which was hilarious! He’s definitely not someone who just presses play on a playlist and then ignores you. He was part of the party and ensured that everyone had a great time until the very end! I was amazed by how many people stayed until the very end and I credit that to him!
