Robson Square Ice Rink:

With free entry, this is a great and very popular option. Located in the heart of one of Vancouver’s busiest downtown areas, the rink across from the art gallery is a great option. Rental skates and helmets do cost single dollar digits, but if you have your own, your skating free!

Christmas At Canada Place:

This is fun for the whole family. With activities for all ages, this is a great option. Open all winter (Dec. 1 till Dec. 31) you have lots of time to check it out. Bring the whole family down for santa’s workshop, or great christmas treats, just to name a couple things!

Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting:

Short notice, as its this evening (dec. 6), this is a free event located at the convention centre that includes a party with local bands, local celebrities and of course, the lighting of a 50 foot christmas tree. This is another great event for the whole family that doesn’t require you to spend any money, all though their are lots of options to.

Keep your eyes in the local news paper and our blog as I list a handful of events not listed here. Just cause the weather cold doesn’t mean you have to be stuck inside. Round up friends and or family and get out to one of these great events. They’re only around for the holidays, so its a great option thats different then the normal options. Happy Holidays!
