“A force to be reckoned with” is how, Canada’s top Celtic publication, The Celtic Connection describes Pat Chessell, “…Check out his live show now so you could say you knew him when…”
Pat Chessell has been singing and playing guitar as long as he can remember talking. He made his first professional appearances alongside the famous Belfast folk singer, Danny Burns. He independently learned guitar and went on to take music and theatre in university. Backed by some of Western Canada’s finest musicians, he has performed in Vancouver’s top Celtic establishments such as the Blarney Stone, Dublin Crossing and Doolins and also in some of Canada’s top night clubs including Toronto’s legendary Horseshoe Tavern.
A featured performer at the Irish Pavilion at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the authenticity of his approach to music is a direct reflection of his own personality. “I’ve always believed a show needs to be about fun for both the musician and their audience,” Chessell says.
